The Process

Folks have been asking how I put together the colored ink wash pieces for a while, and I usually have a hell of a time trying to explain it over the internet. I was going to try and do it live over on UStream, but I'm still working that one out.

So I thought I'd try taking you guys through the process with the latest 1990 Gettysburg cartoon.

You can find the post here at my blog --> ([link]). I've gone over it a couple times now, so hopefully it all makes sense, but I encourage you to leave questions if you have any.

Otherwise, thanks for humoring me while I post the 1990 Gettysburg stuff. I still love drawing the superheroes, but I was itching to write something. And thanks for all the kind words and adds you guys have been leaving, I'm trying to get back to everybody when I can. You guys are awesome.

Thank you very much for the kind write-up about my DA account. It is very generous of you.

Your art makes me feel nostalgic - which doesn't mean I think your illustrations look 'old'; but instead they give me the same feelings of joy and wonderment that I used to feel when I believed comicbook art was exceptionally good.

Put simply, your work makes me feel like a kid again. Thanks for sharing.
