Just picked up all my prints for Ohio this weekend, and they turned out very nicely.  Not even going by my work, the print for the Sgt. Rock piece came out very nicely.  The cards came out a little darker than I'd thought, but still are pretty close.  The Avengers print is bigger than the original, and keeps shouting all its flaws at me.

I'll make sure to post an update when I get back, probably Monday, with numbers as to what I have leftover.  If anybody's interested we can go from there.  If I run out of anything, we'll see and maybe I can get a couple more prints.

I'm leaving in an hour or so to drive down.  It's going to take the better part of four hours, so unfortunately, there is no Flash Friday today.  I'll do my best to make it up when I get back.

Anyway, that's that.  If you'll be at the con, I'll see you there.  Otherwise, I'll be back Sunday night.

It was alright. I think maybe I didn't market myself very well and I've just never been much of a salesman. Plus, this was my first one, so I don't really have anything to judge from. I had a good time though. Seems to be a medium-sized con from what I hear.

Somebody was telling me that on Sunday, it's something I might look into.

Good luck man...I might be doing the con thing 2 years from now. I'm gonna try to shop around as a colorist when I have my portfolio reviewed by DC and Marvel down the road.

Good deal Maz, you definitely should.

I talked with Gabe Bridwell for a while when I was in Ohio. He was overseeing the school's booth. Nice guy.

I mentioned that I knew a couple of guys from the school, which I guess is really just you. He said he's supposed to be doing just layout but it ends up being a little of everything.

Yeah...his layout class is basically a photoshop class. He goes over color theory too. Last year he also taught lettering, but I know he stopped doing that.

He mentioned something about how he may have to reduce his classload to one day a week. I dunno though.
