The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Alright, closed the poll, thanks to everybody who helped out.  I should have the cards done soon, and you'll see who won.  I figure you've probably got a pretty good idea who did win, but I digress.  I will admit I was half surprised.

Just got one more favor to ask of you folks.  I'm working up one more print for Mid-Ohio Con, and have decided on classic Avengers.  Of course, this will include Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Giant Man, and Wasp, but I'm wondering whether I should include any more.  I'll admit I'm not exactly well versed in Avengers lore.  I figured if I put anybody else in it'll be Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver; the second generation.  But at that point I worry about getting threats of "Why didn't you put in Vision or Wonder Man or Beast or bleh blah blee bloo?!"  I made the last one up.

Of course, I'm wondering about which Iron Man to put in, I'd prefer the finhead armor.  Thor will be classic Thor.

Wanted to get an opinion from you guys.  I want to start in the next day or so, so just let me know what you think.  Thanks in advance.

iron man must have silver-age circular chest thingamy, even if you have to go for the fin head helmet (which always seemed pointlessly decorative to me, but hey, the guy runs around covered in gold...)

I'd stick with the first gen line-up you mentioned--the founding five plus Cap. Your reason for not adding more is a good one, I think.
